The Meaning of Life

The Meaning of Life

In my day job, I own a business that builds wastewater treatment equipment for industry.  We custom design equipment to meet specific wastewater treatment needs for our customers.  A few weeks ago I received a phone call from a company saying that they had purchased one of our systems “used” from another company.  The purpose of their phone call was to complain that the system did not work.  After asking a few questions, I discovered that they did not have an instruction manual and they had no clue what we designed the machine to accomplish.  Once I sent them a copy of the manual and told them the intended purpose of the system, then started to use it correctly.  In a follow up call, I found them using the system as intended and very happy with its performance.

You were created by Christ and for Christ!  If you have not already done so, put your life in the hands of the One who created you and has a purpose for you.  This can be done in a prayer to Jesus.  It is kind of like my customer making a phone call to me.  Just ask Jesus to forgive you for running your life your own way and tell Him that you want Him to save you from a life of no purpose.  Then tell Jesus that you want to connect with His intended purpose for your life and that you commit to reading His instruction manual, the Bible.

You have just excepted Christ as your savior.  This is a new start in life for you.  Satan is not happy with your decision and he will try to put doubt in your mind that you have mad this decision or tell you that it will not make a difference.  Do not believe his lies!

You are starting on a new journey in life and there are many Christians who would love to help you in your walk.  Here are some steps to take:

  1. 1. Send me an email to tell me of your decision

  2. 2.Buy a Bible if you do not already have one.  The link on the left can help you get a Bible to read.

  3. 3.Find a good church to attend.  If you have some Christian friends, ask them if you can go with them to church on Sunday.  If you do not have any Christian friends ask me in your email for help to find a church.

  4. 4.Click on the book on the left, “A Life That Matters.”  This book is a great place to start to understand your new found purpose.

Your Maker’s Intended Purpose:

“For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.”

                                                             - The Bible: Colossians 1:16

You are trying to operate with out looking at the instruction manual:

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way

                                                             - The Bible: Isaiah 53:6

Your creator can get you back on track:

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.

"Christ's love compels us...and He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again"
