Don’t lose the Commitment:
“Fix” Their Wagon
I remember as a child, my father used to have several sayings he used frequently. One of them was; “we’ll ‘fix’ their wagon - we’ll take the wheels off.” It was kind of a fun way of saying that we could stop someone that was causing trouble by eliminating their means of propagating (the wagon) that trouble. So for example, if someone was using the garden hose to get a bunch of people wet, you could tie a knot in the hose as a way to “take the wheels off their wagon.”
Well, apparently my Heavenly Father thinks the same way. Read what happens when the Egyptian army is chasing the Israelites through the Red Sea:
God is very aware of what is going on in your life and the world. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth.” (Psalm 33:12-14)
So if you are struggling with difficulties, pray to your Heavenly Father and ask him to cause some confusion in the devil’s schemes by taking the wheels off his wagon.
As children we often sing this song. As adults we should sing it more often.

Remember, even a small light will do a great deal when it is in a very dark place.
